Comments:
I put the executable on /usr/bin/ bc: a) it is VERY very tiny (2 lines).. so .. no prob b) I'm one of the guys that expects that ANY app can be executed from cmd line. It's a standard on the linux world and costs very little.
I think it helps maintaining everything consistent. What do you mean by displaying the G forces? All that's being displayed there when the device is stationary are G forces..

By the way,why not put the executable in /opt/accDisplay/?
IMHO it's not suppost do be executed via cmd and if, why not symlink it to /usr/bin/
