3G/2G/Dual Mode Selection Applet 0.4
Switch between the three network modes (3G, 2G and Dual) from the status menu
Adds three buttons to the Status Menu allowing switching of the Network mode.

Shouldn't the proximity sensor stop this sort of stuff? (Assuming that you aren't multitasking; fair enough...)
Yep, 0.4-1 in Extras-devel sets PANGO_ELLIPSIZE_END on the labels to workaround this. I didn't realise this as "Dual", in en_GB, fits fine.
Applet shouldn't let an user to change network mode while there is an active call. It will result network connection to be dropped. I got network connection back by changing network mode again.
Also with Finnish localization buttons are overlapping (Version 0.4).
Otherwise working nicely.

This version replaces the single button of the previous buttons with three buttons.
Advantage: * You can now select Dual mode just as quickly as you could switch between 2G and 3G mode in the previous versions. Disadvantage: * If all you did was switch between 2G and 3G modes, switching isn't as quick anymore.
If the sole disadvantage is a problem for you, you are better off with the 0.3-1 version.
