flite 1.3-release-2
A small run-time speech synthesis engine
Flite is a small fast run-time speech synthesis engine. It is the
latest addition to the suite of free software synthesis tools
including University of Edinburgh's Festival Speech Synthesis System
and Carnegie Mellon University's FestVox project, tools, scripts and
documentation for building synthetic voices. However, flite itself
does not require either of these systems to run.
This package contains the executables and documentation.

Comments:
Is there a version of this that works on the N900? It seems the wav output works fine, but the play functionality causes a high digital-sounding output to play. It could be it's just too fast (or the wrong rate?), but it's not useful at all in it's current state on the N900.
flite takes 14948kb of space on / please optify it!
Cheers Bjoern
