The goal is to collaborate around the development and promotion of a common set of GNOME components.

The GNOME Mobile & Embedded Initiative has been presented in the Embedded Linux Conference held in Santa Clara (California, USA). Several companies and community projects are set to collaborate to advance the use, development and commercialization of GNOME components as a mobile and embedded user experience platform.
