You can promote the package in extras-devel to extras-testing, and forget this package.
I am sorry, I did not know I had to take a further step and thought it was already promoted.
But speaking about it: I did find out this version had a mayor issue when using AM/PM and not 24h. There have been various new releases in the meantime, and I already suggested to promote the newest version if no issues are found.
Is there a way to revoke this version, or do I just have to collect votes for the latest version?
