Mustali: Usually you can get much better debug output when starting Marble with marble.sh --debug-info. I'm afraid though that in this case it won't help. I guess the reason for the crashes are a few float overflows that we are not aware of.

@Dennis, the crash happens when the Projection is Globe or Flat Map. The crash now seems to happen everytime as I zoom in to street level.

Mustali: Thanks for reporting the mile issue. We have created a hot fix for it which will be part of Marble 1.0.

Thanks for the feedback, Mustali. You're right about the scale bar. Possibly it's better to use feet at street level. We'll try to fix that in the next version. Can you tell me which projection and map theme you were using when Marble crashed? Both are displayed in the Map View dialog.

  • random crashes, when zooming in to a low level or out. maybe a corrupted tile? can't duplicate so +1.
  • The Mile marker does not display the numbers correctly when zooming in. Its always zero at low levels. it would be nice to see the precision instead of 0.
