Comments:
Definitely a great game and definitely not ready for general public - works great when first launched, then grinds to a halt. Needs exit/reopen.
It has serious memory issues, as after killing the game my memory usage went from 2-3 bars of 4 to one - the OS swapped like crazy.
Oh and reboot not necessary - Power button then end task works well. Also my N900 just killed the app after a while - or it cored. Waiting it out to avoid corruption is an option.
Not voting - I don't think it matters any more, but I can't wait until the next version.
I'm still getting slowdown to the point where the app is effectively frozen after playing for a while.
Nice port, btw I've noticed that also "moon jump" is unusable/unstable.
A bit unstable for me, I have experienced some crashes or not seeing any graphics at all.
Do your phones heats up with balloon blaster when it happens to be among the 5 games chosen for the test or when in practise mode? Or in both of them?
Baloon blast grinds my n900 to a halt. :(
Balloon Blaster seems not to be a problem on my N900; however this app still creates some problems. After playing for a while, all seemed to work well, but after a pause with game open and screen locked, I unlocked the screen and found the phone completely frozen. Opening the camera lens cover moved things a bit but I had to remove the battery in order to have a working phone.
I'll continue the testing, this time phone doesn't heat up like previous version and seems a bit more stable.
Unfortunately, still having to vote this new version down - Having spent a fair while testing, the only game being problematic for me is Balloon Blaster, but i'm finding almost invariably with about 30 seconds left on the timer the game starts lagging down, to the point that by the time there's 15 seconds left, the timer and entire device lock up until the end of the game, and then require roughly a 30 second wait moving through each menu option to exit the game. No other minigames are causing issues for me currently with this version though, if other testers are seeing the same, perhaps an option might be to simply remove the balloon blaster game for now at least? It would be great to see a stable version of this ace game make it into extras.
