Tuxpaint 0.9.15b-1maemo1
A paint program for young children
Tux Paint is meant to be a simple drawing program for young
children. It is not meant as a general-purpose drawing tool.
It IS meant to be fun and easy to use. Sound effects and a
cartoon character help let the user know what's going on, and
keeps them entertained.
Tux Paint is extensible. Brushes and "rubber stamp" shapes can be
dropped in and pulled out. For example, a teacher can drop in a
collection of animal shapes and ask their students to draw an
ecosystem. Each shape can have a sound which is played, and
textual facts which are displayed, when the child selects the shape.
There is no direct access to the computer's underlying intricacies.
The current image is kept when the program quits, and reappears when
it is restarted. Saving images requires no need to create filenames
or use the keyboard. Opening an image is done by selecting it from
a collection of thumbnails.

Comments:
Voted down on testing marathon 2010-03-20 - old package, no visible progress.
Needs to be optified and bugtracker is missing.
In addition to all the problems already pointed out, bugtracker is missing (mandatory for promotion to Extras).

Application belongs to section 'graphics', so Application Manager doesn't show it in the list of installable applications. It's not optified.
Seems to installed fine but I didn't see a launch icon installed anywhere and tuxpaint in the terminal doesn't do anything either.
Thanks for commenting, I do not have (yet) a N900 to test the packages, I will do it as soon as I get my device.
Text-tool doesn't work, it doesn't produce anything. If I start tuxpaint from terminal I can see the letters appears to terminal. I got it working putting grab=yes, but maybe ctrl+backspace is now more harder.
savedir=/media/mmc1/tuxpaint is not good default. Maybe /home/user/MyDocs/.tuxpaint
complexshapes=yes is not usable. Now rotating shapes needs moving mouse without mouse button. Rotating can be toggled off in tuxpaint.conf: simpleshapes=yes, but this is not very nice workaround.
I can't use task switcher. Ctrl+backspace shows grid-icon in topleft corner, but clicking it does nothing. I want let tuxpaint in background.
