Monorail is the "File Transfers" app for IM. When it is installed, and MaePad opens a file dialog, MaePad crashes. MaePad does not request anything special, just a plain file dialog. Xournal is affected by the same bug, and removing Monorail helps in both cases.

I had bogus bug reports about MaePad crashing, when in reality it was just the monorail app which seems to install some hooks into the file open dialog (??). I will remove the "Conflicts:" (or rather: Add a versioned conflicts with "monorail <" the version of monorail that comes with the fix) once monorail has this bug fixed.

Could you elaborate on "Conflicts: monorail"?

Outright denying installing some other software doesn't seem right thing to do. If this is needed I would say that either maepad or monorail has serious bug which would mean thumbing down the one with the bug.

I don't use either of these, so I probably have no idea what I am talking about :)
