The new version is not different to this regard ... But it cannot be changed (aka. WONTFIX) because this is the only way to implement Desktop "Widgets" using Qt. Also the code skeleton was written by a Nokia employee AFAIK so it should be correct :-)
Stopwatch-home is a desktop widget which has to be started from application menu. Technically it works but from user point of view it's failure, because all other widgets can be started from desktop. Didn't check the new version yet though.
Mikko, I do not understand your comment, can you please reiterate?
Starting home widgets from application menu doesn't really work.
The application is a standalone one based on eggtimer. I fear it is not possible to let it be loaded by the widget mechanism because it is not a shared library.
I will prepare a bugtracker soon and look into the CPU usage.
OK, will add it in the next release.
Please use XB-Maemo-Display-Name field in debian/control
