I agree. Filter support is lacking in other ways as well (e.g. you can't change a category of an existing item).
I was of two minds - I thought of removing the filter support altogether for this release, or leaving it in (because it sort of gets the job done). I decided to leave it in.
It would be nice to have an option to delete Filters.
