The Maemo Software team of Nokia is setting up new operations in Mountain View, California. The site will focus on third party and partner integration. This site will be essential in scouting out our future partners and making sure that we bring their experience to the Maemo software and seamlessly integrate it to our user experience. The site's goal will be to identify the relevant partners for our success, and start the first integration effort to bring them to our platform.

As site manager, you will be instrumental in building a high performance R&D team, and ramp-up the R&D activity in Mountain View. You will also be responsible for making sure that the different functions represented on our site (Product Management, UI design, architecture, etc...) coordinate their efforts and synchronize their activity. You will also support the whole team when interfacing with other Nokia departments on-site.

You will also be heading partner and third party application development, on those matters. You will report to the Maemo SW Application entity on this matters and report on all RD activity leading to integration of ours partners to our application releases, as well as facilitate interfaces towards outsourcing and partners.

Qualifications:

12+ years relevant experience. Recognised thought leader.

Perfect english as well as perfect communication skills

Experience in ramping up site is definetly a plus.

Experience of the US market.

Experience on partnering and third party negociation.

Strong technical background.

Projet management experience.

Strong leadership skills.

Mediation and negociation skills are definately needed.

Any experience on Linux and Open source is appreciated.
