One suggest can you possible re-add support for espeak or maybe a "mm-speak" shell script. That calls espeak. Then it can say the street names. And espeak supports different languages, so it should work (I believe) just as well in Finland as Spain as the US.

It just keeps crashing and crashing. After the phone crash also half of the widgets are gone.

Not really ready for extras by no means.

This app keeps getting better and better. It certainly is much more stable than previous iterations--it is less likely to crash while multitasking now (though I do notice that the n900 sometimes shuts off if there is difficulty locking on to the gps, and the app still can freeze up/slow down considerably if there is trouble with the GPRS connection).

Turn-by-turn voice (in interlingua) works, and it even works in conjunction with the FM transmitter.

Looking forward to the turn-by-turn voice translations...

This is the app for any Finn living in central capital area!

I just hate using public transportation, busses leave off from random places and are never on time. Not to mention one doesn't even know which busses turn up where and when.

After finding this great piece of software all of my worries are off! Maep did (openstreetmap actually) provide bus routes which helped a lot.

With this great "reittiopas" router, I can find out a bus/tram/train route from anywhere to somewhere and it even tells me exact time and location and if I need to switch transportation. (I'm still not big fan of public transportation, but at least I'm capable of using it now :-)

The greatness of MaemoMapper, with the great look of Maep... what else would someone want? Great work.

At least Finnish localization is out off date and fi_FI.po file is missing many strings in the source repository. I would like to update translation but I don't know how to update .po files to reflect current UI so any help appreciated on that front.
