Virtual musical instrument

Theremin is a musical instrument which allows changing sound pitch and volume continuously. This application is somewhat similar to real theremin, it plays sound of different pitch and volume depending on what screen area you tap, allowing changing of pitch and volume continuously.

planetary body renderer

Xplanet renders an image of a planet into an X window or a file. All of the major planets and most satellites can be drawn, and different map projections are also supported, including azimuthal, hemisphere, Lambert, Mercator, Mollweide, Peters, polyconic, and rectangular. This is a command-line only program.

Nokia Pure is successor of Nokia Sans. You may need to restart your Maemo device before the fonts will show up in your available fonts list. Also: this does not affect the fonts used by your theme.

Vera font family derivate with additional characters

DejaVu provides an expanded version of the Vera font family aiming for quality and broader Unicode coverage while retaining the original Vera style. DejaVu currently works towards conformance with the Multilingual European Standards (MES-1 and MES-2) for Unicode coverage. The DejaVu fonts provide serif, sans and monospaced variants.

DejaVu fonts are intended for use on low-resolution devices (mainly computer screens) but can be used in printing as well.

Borg sound effects for Maemo 5

These sounds will remain in use regardless of which theme is selected. To restore your original sounds, simply remove this package and reboot.

Only one custom sounds package can be installed at a time. E.g. if you have Okuda/LCARS sounds installed, youll have to remove that package to be able to install this one.

The original sounds from osso-sounds-ui are preserved using the dpkg-divert(8) command.

Catorise puts the applications menu into a series of sections, matching those used in the Application Manager to install it. As packages are installed and removed, the menu is kept up-to-date. To revert to the Nokia-supplied default, simply uninstall.

Vulture's Eye is a version of Nethack with a graphical 3D interface similar to the commercial Diablo RPG.

Automatically closes your idle connections (Wifi + 3G/GPRS + Bluetooth) and switches the network mode of your phone (use 2G when 3G is not required by connection) in order for your batteries to last much longer.

To manage the application, an icon 'AutoDisconnect' is available in Settings > Connectivity.

PokerTH is an open source Texas hold'em simulator.

The game is faithful to the Texas Hold'em rules and betting system. PokerTH allows for up to ten human players, with computer-controlled players filling in if there are not enough humans. Players can also play against other PokerTH users online.
