gPodder podcast client v2.20.2-1

I have been the fan of this application for long. I rediscovered in the new version that the options to change location to save podcasts to Sd card is not available/accessible. Also, selecting the option of using Mplayer instead of Media player doesnt work. Also, the new ver of the application loads very slow. Can you please bring back those advanced options.

Great podcast client. Easy to use. Really an essential app. I love it!

Version 0.17.0-6 with the more prominently paced "anti-kinetic"-option ;) is "it" now. 5 stars, no less. Outstanding application.

Disabling kinetic scrolling is already possible in current versions by setting the advanced configuration option "disable_fingerscroll". I have added this option as a checkbox to the preferences dialog in gPodder 0.17.0-6, so users will have an easier time finding it. Thanks for your feedback.

I'm unsure about this app. On the bright side, it has a lot of features and can be customized to be exactly what you want and need. It can be your perfect podcast client. You can tell that a lot of effort and thought has been put into it.

The downside is that some UI decisions are just really frustrating... It might well be that they are configurable, too, and it's only me who hasn't yet found the options - but I guess not. Basically it's the kinetic scolling in lists. Lists in this application can be long, and it's extremely tiresome to do this finger-flicking thing over and over and over again. One single movement of a scrollbar would have gotten you there much quicker. Ever worse, there's a list of checkboxes for various settings somewhere. This also moved by kinetic scrolling... which means that you're bound to unintentionally change settings you didn't even know existed only because you touched the list for scrolling and, by doing so, checked/unchecked a setting.

So it's kind of 5 starts for overall design and features minus 2 stars because of the kinetic scolling, especially combined with the checkboxes.

I have just upgraded and all my feeds have disappeared, I just started adding them manually. It seems to take a long time to get feeds eg http://www.rte.ie/radio1/podcast/podcast_liveline.xml took 4minutes 32secs The older Gpodder worked faster for me. Thankyou for a great programme

I use this almost every day along with Panucci for podcasts and Librivox audiobooks. Very handy and very appreciated!

this probably is a great app and I would love to have it. But this download doesnt work for me. Ive been trying it for the last few days and when I click on "CLICK TO INSTALL" it only opens a new blank Internetpage. Can someone else try this. I tried it with my N800 running OS2008. I couldnt find any other internet page offering it, so I hope its not too silly to right it inhere. Please feel free to delete my comment after helping me :)...

While I don't use the tablets to consume podcasts, I have to admit that Thomas has done a great work with the port of gpodder.
