Thanks for the tip and sorry to put the technical question here. I am new to this community, I tried to look for proper site (like the wiki) for help but could not find it.
I have changed the folder's name by eliminating the space and now the software is working.

The problem of Timothy CHAN is probably that he has an empty space in his foldername - this triggers a known bug that will be fixed in the next version of recaller. Therefore PLEASE once again: Please remember that the comments here is NOT the place to file any (unverified) bugs. Instead, you can reports any possible problems on the Recaller help page in the wiki (and also verify with the existing bug reports there)
This application is supposedly a very good idea; unfortunately, it never worked with my N900 with the latest firmware.
I downloaded & installed it yesterday. At first, I set to save sounds in a folder in the memory card and changed the sound format (I forgot the choice was WAV or WMA). The recording default was "Phone". I made a few phone calls and then I tried to see if they were recorded but no file found in the designated folder.
I tried to change the sound format back to default AAC and made another phone call to test it. After I hung up, I found the icon of Recaller turned Green, indicating it was recording. However, it never stopped (returning to Red colour). And then I decided to turn the N900 off and on to reset it. I went to the designated folder but it was till empty.
I have now uninstalled this application.
Hope someone could provide technical advice.

It doesn't work for PR 1.2 or am I doing something wrong? It was working previously as charm after upgrade I can't record! Hope, it will be fixed soon.
I used TotalRecall earlier on my S60 device. This is just what I needed. Could you add a mail sending function like in TR? All the calls automatically would been sent to your specific email address. Then it would be perfect (for me ;) ). Thanks for this!
great work. would like see more features like search for recorded calls by various criteria and other more options. wouldn't be this better as application in'more' rather then a widget?
Igor Calancea: I tried that but nothing happend. The only thing I can do is to move around the icon or to take it away by pressing the "X" buttom. Do I do someting wrong?
to Theo Andersson: tap the top of the desktop, and click on tool, select (click) the left-bottom corner of the Recaller icon and you'll enter the settings menu. Great application!
I have problems with regording my calls. The only way to record my calls is to put the speaker on otherwise. How can I fix this? I cant find the options meny to chose soumd quality etc. Somebody please help me...

Please tell us what bugs have been fixed or improvments have been made in 2010-04-30 update.
quite useful.. jus that icon size should be customizable and im not sure hot to use the x terminal, but whenever i pick a custom folder to save the recording in, it wont save.. like i receive a call, then the call ends, but the button is still green and call is not recorded.. and oh, can u do something so that the recorded call is not shown in the media player, jus the file manager?

Had previous version, worked great. Tried to update and was greated with'unable to install'. Delete the older version and tried a fresh install and still the same error. Where can i get the previous version as it sounds better than the new one. Thanks in advance.

I was using FM Radio Player v2010.03.20 and then with RECALLER iv tryed to record it , but the sound of the recorded radio song is with bad quality...to much echo or something :)) is there anything u can do about this....i want to record songs from the radio :)))

Good app, can be used to record phone and in person conversations. Also useful for taking verbal notes, classes/speaches etc.
While the icon does change color a bit when recording now (more like it changes lightness), it would be nice if it was a little more obvious. Some ideas : pulsating icon, the universal 'stop' icon, completely different color (ie green).
Nice idea, but unusable in reality:
1) There is no indication whatsoever if the program has been triggered (e.g. accidentally). It will then record until it has drained the battery in a surprisingly short time.
2) It drains your battery. This was the first time ever that I heard the power alarm sound of my N900.
3) The icon is so small that it is impossible to drag it around without the stylus. Since it is only marginally larger than its close button, dragging usually removes the whole widget.

same app with configuration option to select svaing folder and to choose to automatic record or not and also icon should turn green while recording, please

In addition to the complaints above regarding the widget being too small to move on the desktop, I'd like to suggest a more distinctive icon when recording, i just discovered that i clicked it accidentally two hours ago, and it was recording since. i think the icon should be changed to green when recording.

@Emad B: Add the "recaller" widget to your desktop. To start/stop a recording simply click on the widget.

Thanks a lot for this nice useful app which I use very often. Two questions: Is it possible to add an option to hardware power button menu to start and stop recording(Ex: Like 'Disable Cellular' option in power button menu)? Also, when i playback the recorded phone conversation, I feel that the volume and clarity of the person on other end is far better when compared to my own voice. Is it something intentional or can it be evened out?

A shotcut in the incoming call dialog would be awesome. Great app, it has some bugs but works well and the quality of the recording is incredible.
I'm still hoping someone would make a button on the actual Call menu. It's the only logical place for it to be in my mind... Why should i have to minimize my call to access the recording app and risk missrecording part of the convo?
Great app but sometimes after recording a conversation and stopping it, Conky reports a 25-30% constant CPU usage by "pulseaudio". Neat tool that CPU bar reporting tool in the statusbar, without it, it'll drain the battery away ;)
Nice app. One thing: When I re-arrange my home screen, and by accident click the Recaller icon, it disappears, and I can't seem to find it again. To put it back on my homescreen, I've had to uninstall and reinstall it. Done this three times now. Don't know if it can be retrieved without going through this process. Thanks!
As far as will this programme AUTOMATIC record, pay like 50 Euro !
Works well. The files are saved in a very convenient filename pattern.
Wish list: * Configuration: where the files to be saved. * A tray icon while recording. Currently there is no visual sign that the recorder is still on. * Auto turn on when an incoming call is answered.
PS. I think this tool should be filed under "multimedia" instead "desktop".

No legals worries for the UK they always give warning of recording phone calls so they are aware lol :)
