Very useful.
Secure shell client and server
This is a metapackage depending on both the OpenSSH client and the OpenSSH server, which are now in separate packages.
In some countries it may be illegal to use any encryption at all without a special permit.

Without it, the N900 wouldn't be what it is. One of the first things one has to install on a new device.
I use it all the time to communicate with my Macs and in combination with rsync.
Handy way to get the client and server both installed.
Probably one of the most useful app right now, you must have it
It´s a key app to me as I have to do maintenance on Linux servers.
It did not ask me to change password after installation.
No idea what the default username + password is!
It's commandline utility and daemon. There is nothing to run from the menu. If you don't know what does it mean you should uninstall all openssh* packages. If you installed openssh package you have openssh, openssh-server and openssh-client installed. Make sure that you removed all of them, especially openssh-server.
Doesn't work in my N900 - it just doesn't show in the applications so I can't start up the program. It does show in the applications that can be deleted, however. Same thing with both the client and the server+client packages.

Perfect, good job! Works nicely with my Arch Linux.
