KMPlayer v0.10.6-2

Great frontend for Mplayer. It looks so nice (buttons slider and osd) compared to the built inn M5 thing.

I use this with worldTV and found it to work pretty well as long as you don't change the volume. Once you try changing the volume, it crashes and you get the green screen of death. I find it useful for watching major network world news. I don't know of any other TV apps that are available. -still waiting for HAVA TV though.

Installation is a breeze and able to watch almost any media. The best of it, you can stream, you can save, and you can even import/export/edit playlist. Find me one today, that is able to do all this, and do it right. Thanks for the player,

@Andy What is slow, application startup, interaction and/or video playback performance? About the screen flashing, please vote on https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=8079 Note that their is already an update in extras-testing

Haven't been able to play any local videos though; screen starts flashing uncontrollably, and I've only been able to hard-reboot to fix it.

Not all terrible, but could certainly use some work. Maybe demote to extras-testing and go through QA again?

kmplayer is only a front-end/GUI for already installed player like gstreamer and mplayer. BUT: for gstreamer the mediaplayer-gui is the best. for mplayer i would say that SIB is the smartest GUI - it's not as shiny as kmplayer but it's way less resource hungry and it seems that it starts mplayer with the best options to optimize it for use on the n900.

mplayer + SIB simply kicks ass. forget gstreamer and vlc for now. ;)

From what I've used of it, its worse than the built in media player. Not ready for prime time just yet.

Has anyone installed this app for N900? How is it? Is it another media player or does it work with the existing media player? Are you able to work with playlists easier than the existing Mplayer? Thanks.
