This is a really good package handler and makes doing apt-get in the terminal pretty redundant.
Because FAM is a substitute for apt-get, it's a much easier way to get libraries and dependencies (select 'All ADVANCED' when pressing the 'C' button).
Also, the method for activating/de-activating repositories is more intuitive than that of the stock Hildon AM i.e. tick for on, un-tick for off.
There are some downsides that I have noticed: - If a package has its new version in Ovi an error is generated. e.g. BlessN900 0.49-3 to 0.49-4 - If dependencies are in repositories that are disabled or not installed, the missing items are not flagged up before installation starts. - There is no keyboard method (that I have found) to quickly move between fields when editing each repository's details.
A useful extension would be for the installer to create an exportable log of where software installs i.e. all the directories and conf files it spiders into.

Easy n faster application manager..!! thanks!!
