This is a great example of a nice idea that is well implemented and beautifully designed. Thankyou :-)
This is an app I need, and thath needs serious development. Please, keep working on it.
feature requests: -reverse chronogical sort of last activities -whenever ecoach detects that the battery level is getting low, it could save all then quit...
when I enter a New Activity, I select Save as Default (and chose Cycling and Moderate Exercise), but each time I reopen it, it's gone back to Running and Anaerobic. Is this correct? Brilliant app though.
I second the need for total vertical meters climbed. All cyclists are obsessed by this. We also like apps that stop automagically when we stop moving - for example at traffic lights, breather, etc. Showing minimum/ maximum and current road gradient would also be awesome and maybe achievable accurately enough using just the GPS data.
Very glad to see someone has made a sports app for the n900. Works perfectly. I'd love to be able to track my weight loss in a line chart too. The only other app ive seen that does this is on android called cardiotrainer. I would quite happily pay for such a feature. The ultimate would be to integrate food and calorie tracking too too make it an all in one app.
Yeah due to HeiaHeia integration i had to gave preset sports names to map them with the ones in HeiaHeia. .gpx file is normal XML file and you can edit it with normal text editor.
Looks like it's the "Activity Name" field. I was trying to upload some of my older activities with names like "jog to park with Ben" or "Riding with Kids". The newer activities with activity name like "Running" or "Cycling" upload fine. Know how to edit the Activity Name field?
James: Try to reset upload settings and then try to uploading again.
Love it! Great visualization. could be useful to have the total altitude climbed. Also, before the last update it was convenient to name the file as I wanted, now I need to change the file name after it's made. Still GREAT app
Have upgraded to 1.64 but am still unable to upload to HeiaHeia. Fails every time. I'm able to log into the site with no problems.
Does this work for anyone else?
After updating I couldn't find a way to enter freeform activities anymore, only four pre-programmed ones. I assume that this is a consequence of the heiaheia integration, but I'm missing quite many types of sports from the list. Renaming each file afterwards to describe what was really done is rather cumbersome.
Is there some easy way to edit the activity list? Which path & file should I look for? Or could we please get the possibility to add freeform activities in addition to the pre-programmed ones in a future update?
Otherwise great program, I'm using it all the time!
Nice application! Easy to use, and perfect integration of HeiaHeia!
What about indoor activities? I'd like to keep track of what I'm doing at the moment, i.e. what free weights and how many sets/reps
I think this is a great app and I use it many times during a week. Would just be great that they developed a user base or something so one could add their data online to view them online as well. Facebook connect would be awesome as well, just to compare with friends and so on.
But as it is, it does what it says.
I was comparing this app to a similar older app on an old Nokia phone and I'm sad to say that the older phone app won. It had real time altitude readings, real time overall distance and data and was more intuitive. It would be nice to have these features and an interface that was easier to navigate through the menus. It's all we have for now though.
Fantastic app overall, but I found it a bit unintuitive trying to navigate in and out when multitasking, and coming back to the task I had started. Will definitely be using on a regular basis.
my favorite app on the N900. Use it several times a week. Reliable and easy to use.
Very good! I was worried about N900 dont have nokia sports tracker but eCoach is perfect too.
tks
I really like the concept of this program, made it one of the first things I downloaded to my N900. However I cant seem to get it working as intended.
Firstly can this program work offline or does it require an active internet connection to work? I do not have internet service and only use wifi to connect.
I want to go for mountain bike rides and have it record my path and distance gps markers and then later on when I have a connection view it on a map and see how the path looked and the distance/speed/time.
So far for me when I record an activity and go to view it later I just get a map of the south pole and do not see my location I recorded. When offline I cant tell if its recording or not since its just a white background for a map.
Awesomeness. UI is brilliant, its displayal of the maps is just as good.
Great app, handy and useful, it will be helpful with my outdoor activities!
i'm happy that ecoach is avaible for n900, and it works just great.
Wonderful piece of software. And the Zephyr HxM is a good piece of kit too, small and functional.
