Python is the best supported language, with bindings for almost every library available on maemo: GTK, Hildon, GStreamer, Bluetooth (bluez), SDL (pygame), Numeric and DBus.
The low rating is to reflect the fact that Python seems to be un-insrallable now for os2006!! I have re-flashed to os2006 after using os2007he for a while. I find no way of installing python! So media players like ukmp won't install! How is user supposed to install python for os2006??

Quite a nice Python port. Shame DBUS is partly broken and GConf missing.
I'm confident the developers will fix these issues soon, though.

I'm not very technical concerning Python, but this is a must-have for many apps. And, it is fairly painless.
