update a total loss. the app no longer runs on diablo. zero rating.
I am new to the internet tablet scene and in my eagerness to start i think i have upgraded my OS a little too early :p
when can we expect xournal to be ported to diablo? this app is what made me buy an n800 :)
Feedback taken into account. Thanks ! :)
I'd really like a portrait oriented background, and even portrait oriented icons, please?
That is, I'd like to be able to hold the N800 vertically in my hand to make it easier to write.
Excellent - what the tablet is made for.
Need easily modifyable choice of GUI buttons - e.g. adding a shape detection button. Have no need for zoom buttons on this platform. What /does/ that ink bottle do? (I know, config file...)
Just installed and spent 30 minutes playing! Surprisingly fast and handy tool, thank a lot this port!
Most useful application on Maemo.org
Very nice port, thanks Aniello for your hard work!
Anidel's port is a killer app for the tablets. Some posts on xournal as a word processor and on converting hand-written notes to the xournal format are on my blog, http://n800-as-a-professional-tool.blogspot.com A great add-on would be pasting text, bitmaps or vector drawings from other apps. This could turn xournal into a presentation editor, which lacks for the platform.
Easily 5 stars.
One of the most useful ports ever and the time Anidel puts into this is brilliant.
The help file is great and the functionality of the program is great.
You can even export to pdf! Which is great for viewing on many platforms.
Great app. Thanks Aniello!
Any chance of adding an png/jpg export facility?
Absolutely brilliant.
Very very easy to use, LOTS of useful options, and this app really suits being on a tablet because it turns it into the ultimate sketching and note-taking pad.
It includes pencils, rubbers, highlighters, with thickness and colour settings, plus more advanced options like layering and various graphics settings. The graphics render very well, and the pages can be laid out in practically any fashion you want, with a choice of paper styles and colours too. You can view lots of pages at once, or one at a time, and zoom in and out of any page while still being able to edit. There's even a conventional text input option for typing. The attention to detail on this app is great.
Perhaps best of all, you can export your notes and sketches as PDF files which means you can easily e-mail them to other people or import them into other applications.
Highly recommended, my favourite tablet app so far.
Excellent program - perfect for my lectures, or playing games like hangman and tic tac toe with that classic "school" feeling
Excellent for lecture note, mind mapping, quick brainstorming etc.. Thank you for this!
Xournal is great. I just wish there was some way to capture what was written in a "copyable" form. ;)
Thanks to Aniello and others for working on this. OS2008 version is working solidly for me and is one of my favorite apps!
I use this for taking lecture notes. Very useful.
The 0.4 version seems a lot faster than the 0.3 (iirc) version on OS2007. Adding a new page used to be quite slow.
