SyncEvolution synchronizes the system address book via the SyncML standard. The command-line tool 'syncevolution' (also available for Evolution, iPhone and Mac OS X) executes the synchronization.
When the Dates application is installed, then calendar synchronization also works.

This is one of these application that suddenly makes you feel you have a brand new device. Yes, it's 'only' command line and yes, its configuration can be a nuisance... But in spite of all this: 5 stars, not one less. It reliably syncs all my precious contacts and other data with everything that speaks SyncML - which means pretty much everything out there with "sync" in its name. (Except Nokia's Ovi sync at the time of this writing.)
I use it to sync contacts between my N810, N800, mobile phone and my desktop (running Evolution).
It's bug-free, reliable, and it does exaclty what thousands of Maemo-users have wanted ever since the first Nokia 770: sync contacts.
What a hidden gem! Download it immediately if you're not afraid of the command line and of editing a configuration file or two.
Works perfect for me (I synchronize addresses between my N800, a SE W910i, Evolution and Thundebird)! :)
