Changes in version 0.92.13
Fixes a bug in recurring events that occur on the last, 2nd last, 3rd last or 4th last instance of a day in the month (such as an event on the last Friday of every month. This version is no longer GPL, but is still freeware on OS2008.

Hello Troy, Thanks for the response. I upgraded but the about still reports 0.92.10. Should the -1 be seen?
Thanks again for the response and the application.
Sean, while I cannot duplicate your bug, it is theoretically possible it is related to one of the bugs fixed in 0.92.10-1. Please update and see if the problem persists. Please direct any follow-up on this to the forum at http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?p=451969 - the application comments are not an ideal place to discuss bugs.
The latest zoom level that you added was an excellent addition.
I have noticed, at least for myself, with the latest update that whenever an alarm pops up that the rest of my desktop applets I have added are gone. I am back to a default desktop, except for my background.
I have the Seqretary applet, as well as OMWeather, some task bar add-ons, and personal menus. These all vanish after a Seqretary alarm pop-up occurs.
Thanks Troy!
this app has a very good design. I'm waiting for the google calendar integration to realy use this app for real. thx from Brazil.
Eric: 0.92.8 should address your issue. The problem arose because the time zone information database uses the rules for Chicago in for all of CST in the US. In 1936 Chicago (it seems at least in part for corrupt reasons) changed its time zone from CST to EST, then back to CST. This means that for Chicago there are 2 offsets between standard time and UTC. What's more, the last one in the list in the file is EST (which technically makes sense). As a result my assumption that the last time zone of a particular type (standard vs daylight) would be the best one to pick was wrong).
The use of Chicago to represent all of CST is also obviously wrong, as this was a glitch that was local to Chicago, but that is a problem for somebody else to take up with the maintainers of that database.
Does anyone else have a problem where items are displayed 1 hr. earlier than set? In the edit the events are entered at the correct time, but SOME of events are shown an hour earlier than scheduled in the day, and week display. thoughs?
Nice to see a recent update. Stumbled across a very annoying problem. I created some reminders in the program that I only assigned a few minutes, since Seqretary does not allow no times assigned. Since I only assigned about five minutes to these events they only appear as thin black lines when viewed up close, so it is near impossible to edit these entries.
Hopefully I am doing something wrong and they can be reached somehow, but now I have several entries that I have been unable to open and edit.

Here are my 2 cents: 1. I think Seqretary must sync or at least import events from another calendar (google cal preferred :) ) 2. I think that if the author posts an API to create, delete and modify events, the community will quickly come up with these upgrades. Is 1 or 2 possible in the short term? Thanks for a great product!
thanks for the backup functionality. this was the most urgent fix, now i have more peace of mind about using this great app.

In my openion the best program in this section so far. Hope to see the missing features in the future.
Thanks for it.
OSSO-BACKUP DOES NOT AUTOMATICALLY BACK UP YOUR SCHEDULE!!! This is a lovely program otherwise, but if you use it, do
tar -c ~/.seqretary -zvvf /media/mmc1/backups/seqretary.tgz(or something similar) as part of your usual backup. I learned this the hard way. :(On your desktop applet have you considered adding the date, and possibly the time to the day headers?
Example, where it states "Today, Tomorrow, Monday, whichever" you have the date next to it, and if room, the time?
This would easily show the date that a listed appointment is to be attended.
When entering an event, it would be nice after you enter a starting date or time, that the ending date and time is at least equal to the start. Or perhaps a configurable option to state all new events have some default length of time.
This would speed up the entry of an event.
Thanks for your excellent application.
Excelent application. Two suggestions that would make it a lot more userfriendly for me:
When looking at the month and year view I'd really like it if days with events were bolded, just so I can see what days have events and not at a glance.
When I tap on an event I'd like to see all the event details pop-up (times, location, comments) as well as the edit and delete options.
Perhaps you've got something like this already in the works, but these were just some things I'd like to see after using it for a week or so. Thanks for a great app.! One of my favorites.

To be able to now size the desktop display is a nice addition. Have you thought of adding a menu to the icon? Touch and hold might bring up a menu of things such as "Go to a specific date," or "add an entry, whatever you can think of.
Are old appointments eventually deleted or purged at some point, or do they have to be deleted manually?
Can an entry have a no time option? This would allow quick reminders or alarms that do not matter the time, just the day.
If anyone is looking for a PIM in very active development, you really should try this one out.
I've tried this out the last two days, and it's excellent. When this suite is done, it will be exactly what I was looking for in a Maemo PIM suite. Thanks! I especially like the use of the zoom rocker to change views (it's intuitive), and the ability to drag-select event times on the day view. LED notifications also make my day - not enough 3rd-party apps make use of the N810's LED, despite it being a really great way of providing notifications.
Well there is already an update since my previous post just a few days ago and this app just gets better and better.
Entering an appointment is simple and quick. Suggest reading the hints, it really does help to maneuver through the program. The new led and sound alarms work great.
Some suggestions. A default alarm sound option, rather than having to pick one every time. The sound alarm sure does work. How about some options though to limit the volume and time lengths of an alarm if a user wishes?
This application is off to an excellent start. Reading on the homepage of what is planned, and this package could be a major contender for a great PIM application on Maemo.
Currently needs more view options for Calendaring and better integration with built in alarms, sound and led flash apparently not working. Perhaps some sort of central task applet could be developed for the main desktop? Think of OMWeather and how it sits on the Maemo desktop, but with task and calendar info.
I base my PIM comparisons with my Palm Tungsten C package and Datebk added. http://www.pimlicosoftware.com/
Great looking screens and huge potential. Missing a couple of vital components right now though such as a way to sync to google maps and a home-screen applet.
