multi-tabbed GTK+2 terminal emulator application
ROXTerm is a terminal emulator intended to provide similar features to gnome-terminal, based on the same VTE library, but with a smaller footprint and quicker start-up time. It achieves this by not using the GNOME libraries and by using a separate applet to provide the configuration GUI. It can be used as a ROX application, as the name implies, or in any other X environment.

Thanks for this port Faheem. Having a tabbed terminal emulator is extremely useful. It installs fine on diablo and I use it with the bash2 package installed and bash set as my default shell.
I wasn't very familiar with roxterm before. By default roxterm in maemo starts in / but to have it starting in ~ the file /usr/share/applications/hildon/roxterm.desktop can be edited so the Exec line is 'Exec=roxterm -d /home/user/'
The default maemo xterm uses .profile for its user settings but roxterm doesn't automatically, so 'cp .profile .bashrc' and then all user config is automatically the same in roxterm as in maemo's xterm. Now life is easy again, with aliases and exported CDPATH and all the stuff that makes bash friendly.
Great port, thanks.
Hi! I'm using version 1.13.5 and there is some trouble: when I push button that switches running programs, garbage simbols outputs, ~ or in Vim.
Install fails on Chinook. Do I need Diablo? Here's a transcript: ------------------------8 The following packages have unmet dependencies: roxterm: Depends: libvte4 (>= 1:0.12.2-0mh4) but 1:0.11.13-3osso3 is to be installed E: Broken packages
