A Status bar plugin to copy and save information. Quick Clip is a statusbar plugin that allows you to easily save information into a file for later reference. Whether that information is the current text-selection or something you just want to jot down, Quick Clip automates the whole process.

This is a great app to compliment the N810. The ability to just quickly store some bit of information is absolutely wonderful. For example, I find that it's easier to just note an appointment in Quick Clips than get some calendar app open and create an appointment. I just go back in later to get it into a the right place. I mean, setting appointments in mCalendar is so SLOW, it's embarrassing to attempt while people are staring at you. Quick Clip to the rescue... Tap-tap, flip the keyboard out and I got it. Sigh, maybe someday they'll get some tablet calendar app that works like Google's quick-add.
I also use Quick Clip as a journal. I wrote a little Perl script to roll it over such that I can keep the monthly file size down while still having a full record for searching. I use Quick Clip as a todo list as well. I just flag entries with a specific string and then another Perl script rips through the text file to generate a list of ones not yet marked as done. The ones not done get carried forward by the roll-over script.
And, that's the power of saving in a text file. I can do whatever >>> I <<< want to do with it. I don't have to worry about figuring out some database format, I don't have to worry about maintaining access to this data in the future. It's just text.
So, thanks for writing this. It's very useful.
P.S. Okay, I can't end this without one feature request: It would be great if I could define a hotkey that goes straight to adding text to a particular file. No having to pull out the stylus...
Worked. I uninstalled it again, though. Does not pase, only copy, as far as I understand. Nothing, the virtual keyboard doesn't also do. I don't take notes too often, only copy and paste infos.
Very useful. Very useful for clipping notes from the internet and it's designed to be inobtrusive. Thank you to the author!
GREAT application. Really enhances utility of the tablet. And it just keeps getting better with each release. I'd say Quick Clip and Personal Menu are the two essential apps every tablet owner ought to have.
I love this application. I use it to store main points of all the things I read on the tablet...
very helpful application. good usability and realy nice functions. thank you for this!
