Labyrinth is a lightweight mind-mapping tool, written in Python using Gtk and Cairo to do the drawing. It is intended to be as light and intuitive as possible, but still provide a wide range of powerful features.

Changes in version 0.5.0-maemo.r4

Bugs fixed:

  • Menu bars now use HildonWindow's menu bar
  • Full screen and Zoom keys now do their jobs
  • Better quality Labyrinth icon

Bugs fixed in previous .r3:

  • saving does not always work
  • after closing python process is in ps

Known issues:

  • No visual keyboard, text editing only with BT keyboard or with N810.

Initially, the program wouldn't run at all despite a seemingly correct install - got help from author to solve it. On my machine (N810), python2.5-xml (a dependency) was missing, unfortunately it had to be installed from command line as the Application Manager was unable to install it. When that package was finally installed, labyrinth runs wonderfully, and I haven't noticed any problems in the first few attempts at using it.

Once the typing comes online along with different shapes, this app will be awesome. I love the ability to pull in images & resources. Great first effort.
