BlueMaemo v0.3-1

Won't install. I downloaded the file, and selected install from file in the application manager and it says downloading 5Kb and freezes with the blue bar full. I got it to go up to 800Kb once, but still froze and won't get past 5Kb now.

Some obstacles reported. Maybe these guys schould reconnect n900 to laptop or pc or mac with hid profile on the latter enabled. Worked for me. Great app. Tks.

When connected to macbookpro OS 10.6.4 it pops-up with keyboard not recognized and then the connection is lost.

can i use this app with the N800?

@Ahmen - BlueMaemo alpha only have support for the PS3 multimedia features, not sure if is possible to use the app as a controller, since I don't have a PS3 to test.

I could use bluemaemo alpha to control my ps3 but it only works in ps3 menu and not inside the games. How do I use it to play?

@Diogo, Christoffer - This version is for Maemo4, doesn't work in the N900. An alpha version for Maemo5 is available in the Extras-devel repository.

I have a problem to do the install in my N900. When I Try to download, a message saying "some packs are not found" occurs. How I can solve this?

Great application, Soon I realized that I dont need to buy a PC remote and presenter. But, I think the slide show option doest work very well with Office 2007 ppt. It would be great if you can provide more options for slide show component so that it has better functionality. Adding a magnifier would also be great. Thanks for this great thing.

I can't get this working with Ubuntu, following the steps described on Valerio's blog. Pairing seems impossible. With Windows, it works OK.

@John - BlueMaemo is open source, feel free to modify it :) . The ctrl+escape key combo is already implemented in the last svn version, will be include in the next BlueMaemo version.

I would have given this one full 5 stars but I am unable to use this with front row .... well I can but it only works in front row ... it wont invoke the ctrl+escape combo to launch front row .... but other than this small lack of function it works 100% I would really like it to be able to make our own themes or at lest give us the source so that we can edit and change things as we need them.

@Ramu - BlueMaemo is not a game, is a remote controller program.

This is an excellent application. I use it as a Remote Control with PowerDVD when watching movies on the PC.

The version 0.2-1 is much better, and I'm glad to see this project improving. I just have a suggestion for a next version. I know is can be kind of complicated but it would be helpful to have multiple profiles for the Media option, so I can configure one profile with the keys to control Winamp, and other to control PowerDVD, so I can change easily from one profile to the other without having to remap all the keys one by one.
