Have to say this would be amazing to use in Maemo and in the Future on Meego Tabs etc.

With CSSU I however cannot get the filedialog to work so I cannot open PDF or save etc. Made bug already also. Hope we get some love soon. Maybe some votes get it done. https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12220

Also have the most stable patches from here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/xournal/forums/forum/554377/topic/4491300 been included in the devel version?

Just thought that this would probably also support the developement upstream. This way they would get reports of the working paches that are tested somewhat more and could include them in their next stable release.

it's me again zoom alraedy works at least with Freemantle on N900. Today I found the volume button today zooms in and out again.

I will, hopefully soon, release a new version for Fremantle. I will look into zooming PDF files, it should be possible :) Let's see.

Thanx Aniello. I'm loving it. I use it regularily to comment pdf I'm reading, not so much for note taking. Is there a way to zoom into a pdf-file? If not, would there be a possibility for you implementing it? I know everybody is saying its great and then asks for something to be changed or implemented. But its a nice piece of work and then everybody uses it and wants more of it. Just like me. sfb

Very user friendly block note application. Especially I appreciate the precision writing input on N900 and the PDF (to email) function that allows you to literally "write" emails very easy :D

In spite of some little bugs, i'm loving this application,it is now my daily workbook, thanks Aniello.

I cannot overwrite a file. I get a prompt "Should the file 'filename.xoj' be overwritten?" but I don't see any way to enter yes or no.

When I open Xournal it loads the last autosave file, and when I want to save it, I have to create a new file because of this issue.

Also when I open Xournal, and click on save, it prompts for a new filename with a timestamp. It should just use the original filename of the last note.

great app!, with a nicely subtle pressure sensitivity. I suggest to let the user decide how many strokes are going to be preserved by the app, for allow less memory consumption.

I used this on my N810, before and still like it very much on my N900. Of course I'm missing some functions, that I know from my N810, but as I've seen on your screenshots, there will come a lot. Hope to see the new Version in Extras, soon. Thank you, for your work, Aniello! This is a great app and very useful!

It's one of the most useful apps indeed. While Aniello perfects its gui, one can have all the features of the upstream version by installing the debian version in easy debian on the n900. It works very well with the stylus, icons are not too cluttered, and the only thing I couldn't get to work is pressure sensitivity.

I've uploaded some screenshot of the newer version that's coming up (it's in extras-devel).

Very useful app, but I find the erase feature not very useable. The erase "pen" should be much bigger (or configurable) so wiping out content is fast.

I love using it for note taking! It is just beautiful!

I like Xournal a lot, input works much better than with the standard sketch app.

Just got some problems exporting my notes: pdf export works and I can view it on my N900, but opening on the desktop fails. I then installed xournal for Win32 and sent the .xoj file to my PC - also "Error opening file".

Anyone else experienced some like that? How about an option to export to PNG or such?

Yes, you can use the arrow keys (and CTRL-arrow keys) to pan around.

Great port of Xournal to maemo. The interface is easy to use and the N900s touch screen is very responsive.

However, I am wondering if there is a way to scroll the document using the arrow keys instead of using the hand?

Note that orientation support is only available from package 20 that's in Extras Testing. Also Xournal automatically auto-saves your current note in an autosave file and reloads THAT if it's present. Not your last note (that is untouched until you Save it). Thanks for the rating.

Cool graphical notes application with vertical orientation support. The cool feature is that you can just write something there and close the app. Next time you open the application, it will automatically open you last note. Very convenient, thank you Aniello!
