witter v0.3.7-2

This application refuses to properly initialize and then hangs. The watchdog timer trips and asks me to terminate the non-repsonsive applciation.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but go the same behaviour.

ariel, assuming it's not been changed by the guys that picked up development from me, what I did was a lot of very boring repetitive code to implement it as buttons which are part of witters UI. Eg it's not a system thing, or a reusuable thing, it's just a hardcoded set of keyboard layouts that trigger key events in witter.

I guess nokia still haven't provided a system wide portrait keyboard...

May i ask what do you do to have that virtual keyboard??

I have one question, the virtual keyboar came with the app?

Still no proper support for Unicode. E.G. when I type in Hebrew, I get about 70 characters. looks like the limit is wrongly set at 140 bytes but Twitter limits at 140 characters. Same problem exists with Khweeteur, BTW.

Till this is fixed, I'll keep using Hahlo.com

Hello, Could you please help me? When I open the application it tries to open the time line but never do, and I have to force close it. And I don't even know where to put my Twitter login.

@Edmond Lepedus Really? the version from Extras? or have you picked up a testing/devel version? if you check my blog there are instructions for getting more info about what failed.

Can't get it to work. I've been trying every few weeks for a couple of months, but it just crashes as soon as I open it. No error message, just a black screen. Flashing the firmware hasn't made a difference.

i'm not aware of it as a common problem. a lot has changed in the development repo since this extras version. i am working towards another update to extras, but it may still be weeks away. if you like you could try the version in extras-testing, or extras-devel for really really recent.

Since I updated my N900 to PR1.2 the mentions portion of witter no longer works. Is this a common problem and if so is a fix on the way?

Which is the best app to send photo and video to Twitter? I've installed the Pixel Pipe, but I'm having problems with multiples posts when I upload a photo. I was wondering that maybe the Yfrog is better, what do you think?

the linked video is of a pretty old version, not certain exacly which but it was before i created icons for all the buttons so certainly several revisions old.

regards timestamps in gmt, this is fixed in the version in extras-devel, but it will be a while before the fix makes it up to extras

awesome application! Was waiting for this one to come out. One thing though it seems that the times displayed in my feed are set in GMT while I'm GMT+2 at the moment.

Do I need to edit some settings because I couldn't find it.

It is one of the best microblogging clients for sure, but I find some of the buttons a bit confusing. You could perhaps consider to move the buttons to one of the sides, saving some precious vertical screen space..? Just a thought that came to mind, no idea if it would work out well.. In any case, keep up your wonderful effort! :)

Nice and Feature-rich Twitter client It is improving at an impressive pace in latest versions.

The only comment I have is that I cannot get the mentions to sort or list by date sent/received as they do in the web based twitter.

ok I'm biased, but just wanted to see if it would let me vote for my own application.

Really nice, although it needs a lil more stability and user friendliness plus it would be nice it it support multiple protocols in one timeline :) Thanks for the great work

This is the best app for twitter available. The UI is smooth and has a professional feel about it.

Looking forward to similiar style apps from the developer in the future.

Best twitter app I have used, beats any mobile platform....
