Shows the Wi-Fi signal from 1 - 10 in the status area
Note: By default, it checks every two seconds. This can be changed from Control Panel.
It stops checking if the display is off/the applet is not visible/ you aren't connected to a Wi-Fi network.

Its showing 0 for my Adhoc connection to PC. Known bug?
Been using this app since the moment I noticed it in the app manager. I'll admit, for a while I had difficulty believing it went all the way up to 10 either, but that's because I was more or less always in areas of shitty wifi quality. (It's also good to remember that there's very rarely perfect wifi quality in a modern neighborhood. You're very likely to have interference from local wifi networks.
Anyway, it's about as useful as the CPUMEM applet - it won't give you really hardcore details, but when you can't dedicate a window to Conky or some status monitoring program, it's pretty useful for at-a-glance information.
Hi qwerty
This is very useful, thanks. I was wondering if it would be possible to have it modify the icon used by the wifi indicator so as to show 0-3 "bars" as an indication of connection quality, instead of using a number below it.
Yes, it's a really silly request. :D
checked again, its working fine, showing 10 when kept close to wifi antenna
nice applet, i found a little problem that although i took my mobile to wifi router, it still shows the strength 6, it should show full strength that is 10, because i am touching my n900's antenna with router antenna..
Hi!
I think it is a bug in this application. Instead of 10 it shows 0. I'm using Black Plastic theme but I don't think this is the cause.
Anyway it is strange that the level of my wi-fi has 3 bars and the application is showing only 3-4 strength!
Interesting concept but I think it needs readjustments!
Congratulations until now!
