Powerful console text editor
One of the most powerful text editors in existence, vim is "Vi-Improved". . This package contains the command line version only, and so should be used inside X Terminal; although a launcher icon is provided.

One of the apps that we take for granted... Much of my code is developed using vim on N900.

Thanks for the app. Best editor in the world hands down. No Linux distribution is complete with out this editor.
Some keys combinations ( eg. Ctrl+[ ) are too challenging on the keyboard of N900.

Very great app, works well for me. I think I'm going to delete the launcher icon.
Iván, make sure you run it as 'vim' and not 'vi'.
Maemo comes with 'vi' out of the box, but it's a very limited busybox vi.
I'm a Vim lover, but when launching from the terminal and not with the menu launcher, Vim doesn't show colours as defined in my .vimrc file.

great, what would i do without vi? :) just a must have for me.
no Linux system is complete without vi. works great.
