QtIrreco - Ir Remote Control

QtIrreco is a remote control application for Nokia N900. With QtIrreco you can control IR compatible devices like televisions, DVD players and AV Receivers. QtIrreco also has a remote editor which you can use to place buttons to the screen and build the kind of remote you want to use.

That's odd, 0.3.0 version uses Qt 4.5.3 libs and I think they should be available in normal repository.

very cool, great to take profit of every piece of our n900, including infrared port. this terminal never stops to impress myself
