lately i have been getting intermittent certificate error messages preventing login to my msn accounts. is it just me? its annoying as pidgin is my most used app

Great app.

However if the user name for an account is too long; when the accounts option is selected only a left arrow shows up.

@Dmitri Mendeleev: Interesting. Does this happen with 2.7.3 as well (currently in testing)?

This sucks. My accounts.xml file constantly goes bad and has to be deleted for the program to sign in without immediately crashing. It's worked fine in the past, but now it is very irritating to use. Maemo needs a better MSN client, as powerful as this but much more stable.

This works pretty well from me: I use Facebook and Google chat and they are OK.

One thing that concerns me are the unwanted status messages - they seem impossible to remove? How to delete?

@Anas Alhajeh: Pidgin does not yet support voice/video for Yahoo. Only XMPP is currently supported, and I haven't managed to port even that to Maemo yet.

@Pete Teoh: Fullscreen support for both the buddy list and the conversations window is coming in Pidgin 2.6.6. It is currently in testing. Give it a thumbs up here:

Works perfectly for my needs.

Needs some GUI work, but you can just use the Conversations plug-in to overcome that.

Does it support voice or video calling? I've been looking around for an App that supports voice calling on MSN/Yahoo. Thanks

Is there a way to have a more Freemantlised UI. Or make the UI more finger friendly. and follow Maemo5 UI convention

Thanks for your work porting Pidgin to Maemo 5. It works well. Is there a way to run this in full screen mode to maximize the use of screen real estate on the N900?

nice app even though i will use the built-in im-solution because of integration in the contact profiles and history.

but if these fail to work (like in this moment icq does) it's great to have. and because i'm using pidgin on my karmic koala laptop i can import/export the logs. :D

It would be nice if the app was adopted to fit more with the maemo5 UI. especially the menus. great work though.

@Anton: Haven't tried QQ, but it's in the list of supported protocols. Give it a shot ...

I haven't really tested A/V, but I think it's only avaiable for XMPP accounts a.k.a Google Talk, jabber.org, etc.

Very nice application. Fast and reliable. Why video & audio communication are disabled? Cant choose them.
