Count the number of steps you take using the N900's accelerometer. The widget shows the number of steps, the distance travelled, the number of lost calories and charts with the history of those values.

Reine, how many steps you've really made and what's the pedometer saying? For best results you should keep N900 in a pocket close to your body( ideally hip).

John, next time you start / stop the pedometer or change the view (all-time/week/today) the values will be changed to 0. There is a bug with English units, I will release an update as soon as possible to fix this.

Nikita, the values are approx. from height-step length, I'm not using the GPS at all. There were some suggestions to use the GPS to calibrate the step length value (might implement this in the future). There is an option to pause timer when not walking, have you activated this?

Andrei, great app, thanks! After trying one day I got the strange speed output: about 2 km/h. I'm sure I usually walk faster, especially that day. Does it get info from GPS or just gets approx. values through height-step length?

The layout is nice. When I reset all history, it was still showing All-time numbers other than 0. Also, when I changed to english units, it still shows m for distance (I assume thats' meters) and km/h for Avg Speed and not mi.

Counted all wrong for me... Is there some calibration or configuration I should have done?

Justin, metric units are default but you can choose imperial units in settings menu.

Feeling based on first look is excellent. Doesn't seem to eat your battery too much (at least when not moving). Seems to do its task very well!
