Bring web content into your homescreen

Oculo is a home widget which brings web content into your N900 homescreen: it can render web pages as well as sub-elements of web pages into a home widget, periodically updated, or even as a desktop background image (live wallpaper).

It's ideal for having always up-to-date news, stock market quotes, sport results, wheather forecasts, public transport timetables, comic stripes, etc. always visible when you glance at your N900. The options are only limited by your imagination. :-)

for some reason a web page doesn't keep the same position as I configure it. Not even in preview. I tried it with craiglist. That make the program useless.

Great!

Some wishes for improvements: - Possibility to (for instance) change refresh rate without affecting other settings. - Support for web pages that require authentication.

Sorry, tried this once it was in Extras (i.e. out of Testing) and I'm getting a bug whereby the URL entry screen disappears very quickly - before I can enter a URL. This is on PR1.3, but without the CSSU.

Tom, no one else has reported that bug (and I tried on both PR1.3 and CSSU and I cannot reproduce it), but even if it were happening all the time, still it would be a very minor issue.

Crashes after a few back spaces are entered in the fist URL box in the configuration steps. If this is because I have CSSU installed, this package needs to include a 'Conflicts:' section in it, and also call out this important information on this page. Either way, not stable.
