@Chanthat: Have a look at this script: http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=46363. Maybe somebody can turn that into a nice package.

Working great! Here's a request, I want a feature that can set the pattern of LED when battery goes low. Can this be in next release?

@Bill Lane: you said you modified your mce.ini before installing the LED Pattern Editor package? Could you please send me a copy, maybe this is a bug in the parser. The right place for this issue would be the bug tracker, see the "Report a bug ..." link above.

I've installed the app but when starting it I'm only getting the Help, Restore and Save buttons. I've tried copying MCE.ini to the directory the help file says to copy if from after edit. I did notice that there seemed to be a backup file for the app in the /etc/mce folder. Phone is N900, Maemo 5, Version 10.2010.19-1. Any help much appreciated as this app sounds to make what I've already done some of SO much easier! Sorry if this is the wrong place for this question/issue.

great app but hard to use,(still haven't figured it out( well I guess easy for smart people haha... But I remember having something similar on an android phone super easy... choose the color from a color wheel and key in blink time in milliseconds :)

@Raed A: Check out the SCM section of https://garage.maemo.org/projects/led-pattern-ed

@Aiyush Saxena: Not right now, I can add a configurable timeout in a future version.

Awesome app, been using since it first appeared in -testing. Is there a way to stop the led after a preset time, e.g., stop SMS pattern after one hour? If not, this is definitely a good add. Thanks!

@Yaz i: In 0.0.4-1 there'll be a button to restore defaults. Uninstalling led-pattern-editor will not restore the default patterns.

@Tigran K: The the next version (0.0.4-1, in extras-testing) has a help button that links to http://wiki.maemo.org/LED_Pattern_Editor. Do you have any suggestion for further improvement?

Good app, works faultlessly. Can finally adjust the colours / sequences for different items such as SMS, missed call or new email.
