Hermes v0.8.9

I opened up hermes after some time again and I said my facebook authentication has expired. Pressing authenticate brings me to a 404 site on localhost and after that hermes crashes. I haven't been able to find a way to delete and re-enter the facebook account information either.

@Mathias, afraid not. If you don't want to replace pictures ever, you could do the following:

1) Disable all accounts apart from Gravatar and do a "retrieve" 2) Enable all other accounts you're interested in and do a "retrieve"

The second step won't overwrite anything retrieved from the first.

Really usefull app! Only I would rather use the gravatar avatars by default, any ui / config for this?

Hi this is a nice app and works perfectly if u are still using PR 1.2 now that i updated to PR 1.3 yesterday it doesnt open at all.. u click on it to open and then closes with dialog at all.

@Trevor, 0.8.6 is only in Extras-devel and is not suitable for end-users. If people have -devel enabled, they are alpha-testing software and should be raising detailed bugs in the bugtracker.

0.8.6 version seems to be broken as it doesn't start, it tries to start but nothing happens, gone back to 0.8.5 as it's working OK

Man This is a must have app on N900. I got all my friends contact and birthday.

I wish even the mobile number and other details could be downloaded.... :D

Great app, would be nice to be able to link contacts without a First name (ie Companies), but great nonetheless.

A must-have.

Really useful app. if you like to update your contacts etc. with pics. from facebook etc... I really like the way you can manually link f.ex. "facebook person Homer J. Simpson" with "Contact person Homer Jay Simpson"

Great application. If only it supports proxy...

worked great at first. however, ever since i used hermes i've had problems with the birthdays of those contacts it pulled from facebook. for those contacts the birthday is shown on the wrong day in the n900's built-in birthday calendar (please check https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6876).

this might be caused by my specific maemo configuration and only happen to very few people. but i just wanted to let you know what MIGHT happen.

it would be freakin awesome if it could tale the emails/gender etc from facebook as well.. better yet, an option to choose which information to integrate/update.. :D

Very useful & cool app! Looks pretty nice also. More options would be nice, e.g. Undo / possibility to check what would be changed.

This application needs keyboard support. trying to find contacts by scrolling is tedious. gave up after manually entering 30+ contacts that did not match but are my friends on facebook.

Slows the N900 down during Update and Refresh but didn't take to long.

A much needed application. I had 1500+ contacts to update.

All it really needs is support for more control in which contacts get updated and more importantly don't. Works wonderfully.

Just did refresh and not all contacts on facebook were updated some are missing.

Is this normal do they need to be in special friends lists???

But love the app can not wait for more updated :)

Great app. Though it should also be possible to import contacts from facebook that are not yet in the contact list. Also creating birthday-only contacts does not seem to work. And for the matching it would be great if one could use the keyboard to search for names and did not have to scroll through the whole list just like in the official contact app.

Worked like charm for me! Would be nice if Facebook expand their API so that more infos can be synced.

I find the difference between Retrieve and refresh slightly confusing though.

Great app. I would prefer to be able (on an update) to choose if changes are applied though. I have some friends who have blocked app access and as a result their icons revert to the default blue "no image" icon. I also have some that change their facebook icon to their dog, or a plant, or... would rather be able to prevent (or at least "undo" that on the phone.

@Soheil, that is what the right most button is supposed to do. One fills in gaps; the other overwrites.

If not, it's a bug.
