A RSS feed reader with portrait mode support
FeedingIt is an easy to use RSS feed reader with portrait mode support and automatic feed updates. You can swipe left and right to move between articles. Import and export of subscription lists is supported for OPML files. Images can be cached during the feed update, so you can view images in the downloaded articles while offline.
A desktop widget is provided for updating feeds and quick access to your favourite feeds.

Great app! Just simple and easy to use. Does exactly what ones expect.
Definitely the best RSS reader for N900 and one of the sleekest apps for it.
I use it everyday. Never has an issue/instability.
It takes some time to refresh - I have some 10 feeds which post regularly a lot and that doesn't help too. :)
Million thanks for sharing.
This is an excellent reader. Much better than the others for the n900.
Love the portrait as well and especially the seperate proxy setting, which the other RSS feeders lack.
Integrates my Google Reader perfectly via the import OPML facility.
In web Google Reader, - go to "Settings" & select "Google Reader" - Click "Import/Export" - Click "Export your subscriptions as an OPML file." - Save the file then bluetooth/wire transfer to n900 - On n900 in Feedingit: - select top (taskbar) menu-item "Feedingit" - select "Manage Subscriptions" - select top (taskbar) menu-item "Subscriptions" - select Import OPML
...Your Google Reader feeds should now be synched with in Feedingit.
Hope that was helpful. reneCschutte.com
@Prince: It does not (yet) integrate with Google Reader.
Any idea if it can be integrated with google reader??
IMHO, the best RSS reader for n900. Fast, simple, easy to read, support for portrait mode. Recommended.
Excellent app, way better than the default RSS reader in n900.
er bimbo, there is a package named feedhandler, which will prompt you with which app to handle RSS links. There is also dbus-switchboard.py which allows you to set any command as default handler (search for dbus-switchboard.py at talk.maemo.org).
Is there a way to integrate it with the n900 internal browser? Actually feeds go to the internal RSS reader...
Way better the default RSS that came with the N900!
Smooth. Thanks.
Yes, it supports feeds over HTTPS. If they require authentication, you can enter the URL as: https://username:password@rss.site.com Note that this would be stored unencrypted on disk.
Does this support secure/private RSS feeds over HTTPS?
I read lots of great comments here but unfortunately the app doesn't work on my N900. I allready rebooted my N900 but it doesn't show any messages. It does show the feed i have. But it doesnt show any articles when i update. and when i try to subscribe to surtain feeds it sais the adress isn't right, although it is
Great app. Much better than the default RSS reader. Image cache works very well. Command line to update, gestures are very handy.
Love the portait and landscape support(some articles just work better in different layouts). It even works with some RSS feeds the default RSS reader wouldn't accept. The only request(and I don't really know if you can change this) would be to allow us to subscribe to the feeds in the browser, they default to the built-in RSS app.
By far the best RSS reader for Maemo 5.
Excellent app. This is exactly what I needed :) I prefer this rss reader because I can large the fonts, the text is wrapped from the screen size and is very comfortable for reading. UI is perfect. Bravo!
If you wish to spend additional time on this toy you can catch all article for each atom for offline read as in FeedCircuit
I just wanted to mention that the version currently in extras-testing contains most of the recommendations from this page (unread items more obvious, cyrillic articles, no more text selection when scrolling, etc...). Hopefully, it will receive enough votes soon to be promoted.
It looks very nice app, with portrait and landscape mode, but strange when I click on RRS feed (which is correctly written in my language) the second window that opens is ureadable. Is it possible to fix that?
p.s. my language is bulgarian. and you can try with this: http://xml.webground.bg/actualno/science/
Attractive and easy to use RSS reader. My only suggestions for improvement are making unread items more obvious than simply bolding the title (it's easy to miss when scrolling through the lists) and not selecting text when scrolling through articles. Allowing rotation to portrait is a really nice touch.
Cool feed app! Best feature in my view is the posibility to change font-size in feed list. If would be fantastic, if font-size could also made changeable by the user in singe feed view!
Really nice little app. The basics are right.
Here's some small UI improvement suggestions:
Highlighting the feeds containing new posts would be a nice improvement for the feed list.
Also getting back from posts to feed list with swipe would be nice.
It would be also nice if when swiping from older post to earlier you would finally come to posts list.
Of course the text slide animation should be different when swiping from older to newer than when swiping from newer to older.
hey Yves, I just dropped by to say thanks for an awesome app. RSS is one of my most used tool for any internet device. FeedingIt is just what I always wanted. Its finger friendly and supports auto orientation. what else could I ask for. Great job mate
