Geany is a small and lightweight integrated development environment. It was developed to provide a small and fast IDE. Basic Geany features: * syntax highlighting * code completion * call tips * many supported filetypes like C, Python * symbol lists
Unfortunately, for N800 users like me, the on screen keyboard does not function in the code editor. Something like xkbd; or a bluetooth keyboard is required.

it's great to have geany on the tablet. I use it for scripting Perl and it works well (along with a custom keyboard map to get the necessary characters). The small form factor can be a little awkward, and some setup menus are over-sized and difficult to use, but it's the best thing going on the N810.
I'm using it on the N900.
Does geany work on the N900, too?
Yes, it did say "Unfortunately, for N800 users like me, the on screen keyboard does not function in the code editor. Something like xkbd; or a bluetooth keyboard is required.".
The build I did here ( http://qwerty12.qole.org/geany_0.16-0maemo1_armel.deb ) supports it, but it's not done brilliantly.
In N800 the keyboard does not appear... :(
First we got Leafpad, now we've got Geany! I haven't used it for anything serious so I haven't found any issues but I feel so comfortable knowing I've got this + gFTP so I can do some quick editing on the road when I've been too quick uploading new code from my laptop. It's applications like this that make you impressed at the power of the Nokia Tablet.
