Changes in version 2.3.1-0nix0
This release has only one minor change:
- Add Pidgin settings stored in /home/user/.purple to the "Settings" category in OSSO Backup
This means that Pidgin's accounts and preferences can now be backed up under the backup software's "Settings" category. Later, when you restore such a backup and install Pidgin, it will pick up its old accounts and preferences.

Great IM program, works very well on OS2007 HE on 770
This site didn't work for me. It takes too much effort to find every lib or gnutls dependencies(acronyms, swahili or what?) needed. Too much hobby stuff as far as I am concerned. However Internet Tablet Talk / general / help a n00b solve package dependencies, etc. did help finally.
We really need an application like this. The second most important thing with a table is communicating with other peple!
Work's sweet, have no issues. Sound works fine, chatting is fine. All in all it seems the same as the one on my Linux desktop.
Not able to install with the new Os upgrade. Before i installed and there was no sound. But LED flash was nice with pidgin.
cool IM but some inherent bugs in irc handling and vcard downloading
Best IM program for the tablet
Awesome. This is THE IM app (in fact, Maemo should integrate it!).
okay
Works great!
If you're installing on a new 770 with OS2006, you'll need to remember to add the repositories on the homepage, plus the herring repository:
http://repository.maemo.org herring main non-free
This also seems to be necessary for the current version of minimo
