QtIrreco v0.3.0-1

This apps is the best and I am ustng it for LG TV and LG HDD player ..,that is cool ....THANKS..

How does this program work? After downloading a remote all I get is a gray screeen with "QtIrreco" in the lower right corner and a dropdown menu with the name of the remote.

Please advise.

This app is so cool... I was in macdonalds the other day, and didn't like what was on TV... So I downloaded a remote for the LG TV, and changed it... Along with turn the volume up full so I could hear it clearly.

My main A/V are supported, but can't get it work with my TV, and i have to double touch a button to get it work. Very nice to make jokes ;)

Dhawal and Tamzid: There is not supposed to be list of manufacturers immediately after clicking "Download Remote". You must first select which manufacturers you want to list. For example, to list all manufacturers beginning with letter A, click on the letter A in the left column. You will then see list as "abit, abs, accesshd, accessmedia...". Then click on the manufacturer name, and you will see the list of devices from that manufacturer.

Tried using it for more than a month, downloaded, deleted and what-not. Cannot get list of manufacturers. Cannot download any remote. It's a waste of time.

well i've installed it for my N900 then clicked on "Download Remote" but it doesn't show any "Manufacturers" on the left nither shows "Remots" on the right side!!! please assist me how to make it work? could be sent direction by email: tamzid_dxb@yahoo.com Thanks...

Thanks Juho, im happy to say ive fixed it :-) what i had to do was delete it with app manager then go and delete the qtirreco file with file manager then just re install / download it from here. thanks again i love this app.

There is a new version (0.3.1-1) in extras-devel. Try updating to that if you have problems with 0.3.0-1.

was really happy with this app, loaded it and it worked perfect for my tv, dvd, amp etc. unhappy to find out that after the latest nokia fw update it dosent work anymore. is there any way i can make it work again ? i really liked it.

Promising application, highly desirable; however difficult and frustrating to select right remotes. Besides all the ones I built myself on the application did't work.

How to chose the right remote to download?

For example: I have Sony Wega CRT TV. Under 'download remote' there are several categories to pick from. Their names and descriptions don't tell much

On my phone its saying its missing a few application packages.

Unfortunately the IR is so weak that I had to get off the couch and get closer to the tv. This is no fault of the programmer but I'm not sure that I want to walk halfway across the room to change the channel.

Its definitely a good start. Its choppy at times and finding devices can be a headache sometimes. The button sizing also needs to be worked out so more buttons can fit on one screen, but you've definitely got the foundation for a good app in the making.

Super, ça marche ! Dommage qu'il failles mettre un a un chaque boutons, que l'application ne soit qu'en anglais et qu'il faut absolument être en Wi-Fi pour télécharger les télécommandes...

En plus, il manque des modèles assez utilisés sur le marché.

This is gonna be a cool app but can not find any remotes i use on this app :( is there a way to add more to DBase?

A very useful, with some really nice touches. This version is a lot more finger friendly than the GTK version is.

But, what's with the mouse cursor thing? I've also had some of the download from DB dialogs block out on me and it's not quite obvious why. Some visual feedback here would probably help...

That's odd, 0.3.0 version uses Qt 4.5.3 libs and I think they should be available in normal repository.

Unfortunately this will not work for me - installation says I need Libqt packages which are not available. Any ideas?
