great application! i use to check the health of my n900 everyday! thanks
Thank you Richard for your comments, and i appreciate the time.
There are a few discussions and works-in progress on the healthcheck forum post - i would appreciate any feedback / comments. http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p=707774&postcount=619
I am by no means a graphic designer - and being my first app i really do appreciate all feedback.
This application is great (functionally).
Unfortunately, it's let down by a poor UI (User Interface). The choice of fonts could also be better. Would want to give this 5 stars but can't do so till I see some updates.
Perhaps something can be done about this in a future version?
Not a problem, but it just votes down the current app for no reason :(. The forums are the best place for me to notice issues with anything in extras - devel, or the bug tracker for testing/live apps (Link is on this page at the top.

sorry about that im new to all this. Is there a link you can give where i can post the info. sorry again
Hi Aaron, thank you for your earlier nice comment, but please do not vote a version down id it is not publicly available. Your vote is counting towards 1.0.0-0
The version you are talking about is in Extras-Devel. (Grumble....)
Please use the forums or bugtracker to correct errors in future versions.
Hello again with the new v1.1.1.3 moving up and down is not good at all at the top of the list is ok but if you try to move down the list it will jump to the end of the list.
very nice Greg thank you
Very useful app for testing and monitoring of n900 - Thanks :)
It's possible, but I haven't had that issue since I stopped using Healthcheck. If I use it again (I still have it installed :) ) and have the same problem I will let you know. Thanks.
k'tav... are you sure it was healthcheck? It doesnt do anything until you press the update tabs... Even then it only reads lines from terminal - and doesnt do a constant read?
Checked it yesterday - and had healthcheck + web + irc + email / IM open.... 12 hours, no issue...
So may be something else? would be interested if you posted issues in the forum / bugtracker though :D
After I installed and ran Healthcheck the battery started being drained very fast. In top I noticed that pulseaudio process was using cpu constantly. I rebooted the device and now everything seems back to normal, but I'm afraid to run Healthcheck again... :) Any ideas?
Very cool and useful app. A must have for N900 users!
mihai - hmmmm again.... Odd one, i have the same repo's and works for me, will investigate it...
@Greg Roberts Normally apt-get will install the dependencies. However, I did try apt-get install pulseaudio-utils. There is no such package in the repositories I have: Nokia apps, Nokia SSUs, Ovi, Mozilla and Extras. Maybe you have some additional ones.
In terminal: sudo gainroot apt-get pulseaudio-utils (You need rootsh installed) - not sure why it works for some, and not for others.
I can't install it because it depends on pulseaudio-utils which is not available.
Cool!
I am biased as i made it - but i made it for people like me who want to test if the device is functioning properly. and also added some handy information in too :D
Very useful application for checking and testing system information. A must get for everyone
