There is also an simpler "root" command which correctly sources the root .profile and environment.

There is also an rootsh command which allows you to quickly run a command on the same command line without using a root shell (like sudo)

You can find this package as rootsh in the diablo and chinook extras.

usbcontrol gives you easy to use access to the powerful host mode of the n810 and n800. Run usbcontrol, switch to host mode and attach any keyboard or usb drive to your device. Keyboards don't need extra power, usb drives usually do.

An application to securely tunnel IP networks over a single UDP or TCP port. It can be used to access remote sites, make secure point to point connections, enhance WiFi security, etc.

vpnc is a VPN client compatible with cisco3000 VPN Concentrator (aka Cisco's EasyVPN equipment).

A simple frontend for vpnc, no need for root access or editing config-files. Just configure it trough the dialog or import a PCF-File.

OpenNTPD is a FREE, easy to use implementation of the Network Time Protocol. It provides the ability to sync the local clock to remote NTP servers and can act as NTP server itself, redistributing the local clock.

GConf-Editor is a tool used for editing the GConf configuration database.

Using PackageView you get a list of all installed packages. Packages can be filtered by name. Double click opens a detail dialog, showing further details like a number of package attributes, package contents and a list of dependencies.
