Hello everyone,
Sorry i didn't tell you anything about myself.
I joined maemo.org on october 2011 and
was always in the list of most users online.
I am a newbie and want to develop software
but I lack proper devices.(My nokia N900 is third hand device
which cost me 176 $).

I will be happy if I get N950 first,if not available
N9 is okay. I will develop something more
interesting in software field (not games).
I also assure you that if I failed to develop
something like this, I will return those device.

Sorry for my bad english, I am from India.

Regards
sourav

As criteria clearly says "Community Awards are granted for past deeds,
so no future projects/promises, etc" please tell us explicitly what you
have done for/in Maemo IN THE PAST.

Iván

I understand. I`ve done in the past much for the Maemo Community, for
example i helped other person on n900forum.de or opensmartpad to solve
problems with devices. I think, this kind of help who i done in the past is
some

Some friends and I could not even known the n900 and recommend they had
also purchased. They were also far more satisfied and did not regret the
purchase of this equipment. Therefore also have contributed to the increase
in Maemo - albeit in miniature.

Also, I put linux on my personal computers since mid 2003 and share and
support the thought of open source. I insitalled Linux on computer by
friends, family and some small companys.

I myself own the n900 since the beginning of 2011th Before I had even
devices from Nokia and other manufacturers had never tried it because it is
simply the best nokia. So I would also like to forward more actively
collaborate, seeking aid and support projects and share ideas. I find that I
ask when seeking help for problems and maemo and have supported meego is
also an important part of community work. Not only develop programs is one
of them. But above all I am a little upset that the user will preferred have
been written in the past, but the other user to user help at a disadvantage. I
love it Do with joy, the first steps with, for example, QT, C + + and sql to
make, but I think it would be best if I could test results on a unit that I
regard even in the hands. Not just in an emulator.

In September this year I will once again push the school desk for two years
while learning the program. So this would be the ideal career opportunity
and private interests together with your support to unite.

I`m really sad and disappointed about that i as a beginner get no chance to
get a device, but persons who has already a device get probably a second
device. I think it is importend to the test software on different "same"
devices - but for it - a developer can share this alpha and beta programms
with otner N950 Owner. The feedback will be much higher.

I don`t know which " single information" did you mean Iván - please help
me, i can tell to you all informations where needed. My TMO username is
nicetux too.

Sorry to inform you, but have you heard the news?

First MeeGo and now Tizen. I think you don't know the backgrounds but there
has been people in ITT forums (internettablettalk) since a long long time
ago. I logged into there when I bought my sweet N800. Would it be fair to
someone contributing years and years (I don't count myself into that group)
to not get the device and someone with big promises and some posts in an
unknown forum (we have this talk.maemo.org too...) gets a device instead?
And conviently this new guy appears as soon as such device program is
announced....

There isn't future that bright for maemo, that is why I think it is
brilliant to reward people from past deeds. A LOT of voulenteer sweat and
work hours has been poured into maemo community and at least I appreciate
it a lot even though people making investment decisions didn't trust to it.

The 'news' on these 'free devices' are spreading on multiple channels,
other forums, IRC, and not least Twitter.
There is not much that can prevent people from submitting requests for a
free device in the programs where they are offered.
Obviously, a bunch of those submissions will be, and have been, disregarded
as not qualified.
As for the Community Awards, the Council will review each submission. Some
are 'easy' to reject for clear reasons, eg no commitments in the past, no
TMO accounts, or just-created TMO accounts.
But rest assured that the Council will look at each submission and the
submitters history. On the list of submissions you will notice quite a few
are already put in the que as not considerable.

The Council, and I'm pretty sure, all the community, won't accept the
creation of TMO accounts just for the purpose of applying to this program.

This submission will be discarded.
