Maemo Animation App

I just got my n900 and i am loving it so far and am really surprised with the online community and support it receives. One thing I think would be a great idea is the development of a frame by frame animation application. like a flipbook. The Iphone and Android phones have some. So i thought its only fair that Nokia n900 owners, being the creative bunch that they are, get in on the action as well.

I thought the pinpoint accuracy of the stylus would be put to good use in this situation. With just A pencil and an eraser and an option to jump to the next frame when your done with a light onion skin over the last frame to see where you left off.

There is a Linux application called Pencil that I've downloaded on my PC and played around with.. It works great and well just like any animation software should. I thought something like that would be amazing on our little dream devices.

Thanks for listening.

New separate Media and Gallery Players

Hello all.

The way that media are organized right now on N900 is, I think, way non optimal. My suggestion is that there are two separate players:

MEDIA PLAYER:

The options here should be the following 4

Music - Movies [commercial media]

(internet) Radio - (internet) TV [broadcasted media]

In this way, the options have full symmetry and make more sense. The "Shuffle All" really does not deserve such a prime position in the menu, it can be under "Music". Internet TV is something really cool, needed for an operating system of the class of Maemo.

GALLERY PLAYER:

The options here should be the following 3

Photos - Audios - Videos [personal media]

In this way, all the personal media files are all together in a personal Gallery. Personal "Videos" and "Movies" are not mixed together upon viewing (see also this thread: http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=42790). The "Audios" is needed for personal voice recordings, from the "Recorder" app.

I think this is a feature that should be implemented from the NOKIA team itself and not a third party. I hope they agree and decide to follow this suggestion!

Best to all and congratulations for an increadible OS!
