There should feaure called SIM Application Toolkit as in all typical phones. This is very important feature in many countries

It will be better if there is controlpanel option for cell info display(location) to view on desktop as in other Nokia phones

Currently there is no way to lock the N900's UI to to horizontal mode, which gets bothersome in cases. Applications that support portrait mode often have a setting, but that's not true for all.

I currently have a shell script that edits /etc/mce/mce.ini, removes the accelerometer entry on the Modules to load list then kills mce. It works, sometimes, except when mce doesn't return and I have to restart the phone. I'd love a less hack-ish solution to that.

Hi! It would be nice, if the automatic email check could be set, only to check, if I'm in my home GPRS. I had this option in Symbian OS. This avoids to fall into roaming, when automatic check is enabled.
