At the moment its basically impossible to hold the phone upright, unlock it and make a call with one hand. If you flip the phone
screen 180 degrees (when in portrait mode), you can unlock with your index finger and then dial with the same hand. Should
be really easy to implement since it's just a matter of flipping the screen.

i'd like to be able to have one touch communication options on the desktop, there are some contacts i mainly talk to over msn and some i mainly call, the same goes for sms, skype, facebook chat but having contacts on the desktop doesn't really speed this up

Nokia's built in interface displaying all applications as well as catorise and my menu does not start application or go to the application name automatically. It would be excellent if an app can be started by just typing its name. For eg if I type C, it should just list apps that start with C, if I type Ca, it should list calendar, camera or what apps the user has starting with Ca.

In Extras testing there are at the moment 222 apps & themes and 44 of them are in status "Promotion unlocked, waiting for maintainter to promote". These 20% is a pretty high number.
How can this be reduced?

The built in Backup Application in the N900 backups only folder and files registered in the configuration of the osso-backup.
One great improvement would be the addition of options to backup files or folders defined by the user.
