JAVA and J2ME Support on Maemo5

Maemo5 should fully support J2ME (MIDP 2.1). This will give the Maemo platform an edge and make it compete will with the Android OS.

Setup new Talk Moderator Structure.

Talk has been out of control for some time and most of the regular helpful posters have left it.  It is slowly getting worse and everyone is complaining about it.  There are atleast 1 or 2 posts a week claiming an update is out and they run for a few hundred posts before the next OMG update post comes out.  There are fake claim 19 page posts talking about porn.  On top of personal insults, attacks, and flaming like I have never seen on Talk.  I think most people will agree something needs to be done before talk is to far gone to save.

Many tested apps in Extras-testing are not promoted timely

Posted on 2010-08-01 11:17 UTC by Harald Schmitt. Status: Under consideration, Categories: Utilities, User Experience, maemo.org.

In Extras testing there are at the moment 222 apps & themes and 44 of them are in status "Promotion unlocked, waiting for maintainter to promote". These 20% is a pretty high number.

How can this be reduced?

Thread spamming due to repeating questions/posts

Posted on 2011-05-29 11:08 UTC by Reflektorfalke. Status: Under consideration, Categories: maemo.org.

Most threads are about users reporting bugs / problems and asking for help or features.
Many issues are posted multiple times, resulting in endless threads with repeating posts that are hard to read. Answers already there are not found, very same questions are posted again and again. Users give up, don´t search anymore at all, making the problem even worse...

Karma for GIVING thanks in Talk

We have Karma already for receiving thanks for posts in Talk, but I believe it should be the other way around as well.  People should be credited for thanking (ie, encouraging others).
